We would like to welcome you to the new facility and your new club. We thank all of you who have joined, and to past Greenwin members and new potential members whom we have yet to meet, we hope you will consider joining our new club environment, Toronto Tennis City.
We would like at this time to address some of the issues which were raised this past weekend. Here is an update on various items:
-
The bubble is down, we are starting to work on the courts and we should be operational by Monday May 10th.
-
We will be using Game Time for court bookings and our TTC system is being designed and should be operational next week, Until then courts can be booked through the front desk 647-381-6464, as of today Thursday May 6th.
-
Adult and junior programs will be starting as of May 10th. Private lessons will be available as well but you should note the new booking policies[see below].
-
We will be having our welcoming event on Friday May 28th hosted by the one and only Allan-May Montoya Garcia-Rojas Lopez.
Our new policies which help us operate the club in a fair manner for the members and ownership of the club:
-
Private clinics and lesson policies
These policies have been developed with the following thought process:
-
All members are equal, as it relates to accessing the courts
-
All members have the same booking opportunities
-
The management has developed policies, within the overall club vision, that maximize the booking opportunities for members
These policies have been developed to provide access to the courts to the greatest number of members, and will be revisited on an on going basis to insure fairness to the overall membership.
Membership Policies
1. TTC will have 400 total memberships including adults and juniors U18
2. New members must pay an initiation fee
3. All members must pay annual fees
4. Members have the right to reserve courts and play in programs by paying appropriate fees
5. Memberships are not transferable
6. Members can bring an unlimited number of guests
7. A guest of the club can only play three times per year
8. Guest fees are $25 per day plus court fees
Special options for former Greenwin members:
1. Past Greenwin members can join TTC without the initiation fee but must rejoin as of May 1, 2010.
2. This option is only available till May 31st, 2010 and only to past Greenwin members who were current members as of April 30, 2010,
3. Past Greenwin members joining TTC will have till September 1, 2010 to cancel their membership by giving 30 days written notice.
4. All memberships will then become annual memberships which cannot be canceled except under special situations.
Court Booking Policies:
1. Members can book courts on-line or by phone 7 days in advance
2. Courts can be booked 6am to 11pm, 7 days a week
3. 6 to 11pm courts are booked seven days in advance starting at 7:30am
4. 6am to 6pm courts are booked seven days in advance from 12:30pm
5. Once courts are booked they cannot be canceled. Members wishing to sell their court can call the reception desk who will put a for sale sign in the booking system. No court fee will be charged if the court is resold.
6. All courts are to be paid for by cash, check or credit card before play. No show court fees will be charged to the member’s credit card.
7. The only pre-booking of courts will be done for club programs
Private clinics and lessons policies:
1. Courts for private lessons can only be booked by members, who then phone the reception desk to request the pro. If the pro is unavailable, an alternate pro will be offered or the court can be canceled if the member wishes
2. Private lessons are not available between:
a. 7and 9pm Monday through Friday
b. 10am and noon Saturday and Sunday
c. This rule is rescinded if a court in these time periods is available 72 hours before play
3. Private clinics with four players can be booked during the above times. Members book the court and the reception staff will contact the pro.
Finally, you can register on line through Game Time under Special Events or by phone 647-381-6464 for the special Opening Event on May 28th.
We are getting the club ready for you, our members and future members. We have eliminated the mold from the locker room, starting on repairs in the clubhouse, working on the courts, ordered the carpeting and picked the color for the repainting of the club.
Thank you for your understanding and patience in this transition period.
