Ladder matches are a competitive and fun way to challenge yourself and connect with other members of the club! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just looking to test your skills, our ladder is open to all members, with exciting opportunities to climb the ranks and play against new opponents.
How It Works
Exclusively for Members: Only Toronto Tennis City members are eligible to participate in this ladder.
Placement: The Ladder Coordinator will assign you to a starting box based on your rating, previous results, and coach recommendations.
Boxes & Matches
Each box consists of 5 to 10 players. Matches will run over a two-month cycle.
You must play at least 3 matches per cycle to remain in the ladder.
Matches are played as an 8-game pro set (with full ad points), within a 60-minute court booking.
At 7-7, a 7-point tiebreaker decides the match. The player with the most games at the end of court time wins.
Scoring & Points
Win a match? You earn 3 points. Draw? Both players get 1 point.
No-show? A default will result in 0 points for the defaulter, and 2 points for the opponent.
Advance & Move Up the Ranks
At the end of each cycle, the top 2-3 players in each box will move up, while the bottom 2-3 players will move down.
If a player’s placement doesn’t reflect their performance, the Ladder Coordinator may adjust their box.
Register & Track Scores
Players must record their match results in SkyCourt within 24 hours of play.
Don’t forget to bring a can of balls to each match!
